  Very well maintained. Challenging yet fun layout for a 20+ handicap golfer. Greens were not too fast, pin locations not too terrible. Clubhouse is beautiful, practice areas are decent. I would love to play it again.

  Nice course, very fast greens. The hole to tee box distance for some are far so it would be somewhat difficult to walk the course. Sand bunkers have beautiful fine white sand. Medium difficulty. Lots of U of I merchandise in the pro shop with big selection but prices are high there. Friendly staff.

  Course is in outstanding shape. Greens were huge, very firm and quick. Very few "straight" putts -- greens were really tough for me to read and that made it tricky. Clubhouse and bar are really nice. $75 to ride 18, and that included 25 complimentary range balls. GPS Carts. Only unusual thing was that the "halfway house" was located off the 2nd green/16th tee.

  I am fortunate to travel the country and get to play golf while working, so ive had the pleasure of playing from muni courses to nice country clubs to TPC courses. This course is on par for some of the nicest courses ive got to play, especially on a muni level. The cost was right with my first responder discount, and the staff was friendly. Food at the bar was good, Marshall checked up on us as he saw our pace of play was faster than the three in front of us, and asked if he needed to speed them along. While we didnt utilize it, it was a nice gesture. I would highly recommend this course to anyone in the area, Nice kept tee boxes, fairways maintained in excellent condition, and greens are tricky and fast. Stop reading this and book you a tee time at Atkins Golf Club.
