ASAP did a lead inspection and did a great job. They were really easy to make a phone appointment with, they showed up on time, and the inspector they sent, Matthew, was really knowledgeable, efficient and a licensed lead inspector. The report I got at the end was very detailed, along with some instructions concerning my options. I would highly recommend ASAP.

Spoke with John Macisaac over the phone regarding past lead inspection finding on a home we are purchasing. He was fantastic to talk with; walked me through the whole process and what to expect if there are findings. There was no hesitation with working to accommodate short notice inspection time on our schedule. I would highly recommend.

They inspected my home pre and post de-leading and made errors every time. The map they drew of the home was incorrect causing issues with subsequent inspections and reporting with DPH. They inspected after a VERY poor job was done of deluding and managed to get a pass, even though there were piles of paint chips on the floor. The closets were not checked and when I came home with my child I found they were full of saw dust from when the doors and door jambs were sanded. No one had cleaned them even a bit. They said they spot check, but don't go over every inch of the house. But I wouldn't even say they spot checked based on how obvious the mess was. There were paint chips on my bed and sofa, all around the outside of my house, and piles of dust from where they sanded the walls, all of which were eventually tested and were positive for lead paint. I think the people running the business and kind and friendly, but I don't think they did an acceptable job of inspecting my home. As a result of the poor process my child's lead level jumped from a 4 to a 12, which is considered lead poisoning by state law, and now we must go see a specialist and have monthly blood draws. There may be life-long consequences for their lax approach to inspections, and the only one suffering from that is my son. Please think twice before you use this company. Consider calling the department of public health and asking for them to do the inspection. It has been two months since they inspected my home and I am still finding paint chips on my walkway, in my window sills (my windows are composite and brand new so it isn't coming from them). There are spots all around the house where they painted over lifted paint, and it is already lifting again. This was apparently fine in the eyes of ASAP. Although the walls tested positive for lead, they didn't make the company who did the work patch any dings they left behind, and there were many in every room. I will supply some pictures of the mess, but I sadly no longer have all the photos, once I learned it wasn't going to be legally actionable since my child wasn't admitted to the hospital and was only "minorly" poisoned.

I'm stunned at the genuine service ASAP gave me. I called them with an emergency over Memorial Day Weekend and they answered the phone and were out the next business day. They even had to move around other appts to accommodate us. Wow!

After speaking to and reading reviews for several lead inspectors, I decided to move forward with ASAP Environmental because they were the most responsive and came across as the most experienced. I’m glad I made that decision. On the day of the inspection, Chris arrived early and diligently tested the home I was buying for lead paint. He had a good way of explaining things which was helpful because I had many questions, all of which he patiently and clearly answered. Even the seller’s real estate agent made a point of telling me that Chris was doing a better, more thorough inspection than others he’s interacted with in the past. Chris, thank you for a job well done as well as the quick turn-around and thoughtful answers/explanations. Highly recommended!
