If you’ve stumbled across this review and are considering Arlo Nomad, look no further. This was my first stay at this hotel and it was smooth sailing the entire time. Check in and check out was a breeze. All of the staff were incredibly kind. Both ladies at the front desk (Jemilla and Jade) were exceptional- offering me a complimentary room upgrade for one of the nights. Hotel is in a good area. It’s clean and QUIET! Rooms are pretty small but that’s to be expected. Nice rooftop and bar. This will be my go-to hotel for every future NYC trip.

It was the most horrible stay at a hotel in my life. I disrespect the hotel, the management, I will never come back to any Arlo hotel, I will never recommend it to anyone. I took a corner room for one night in October 2025. It was supposed to be my last night in New York and I looked forward to enjoying it in a hotel with a beautiful city view. However one of the ladies who checked me in at the reception was absolutely arrogant and impolite. She was full of sarcasm, also because I could not fully understand her fast English. She was asking if I can't hear, she can come closer. She made me feel humiliated in every way she could. Whereas I believe in personal responsibility, I do consider this incident as a systematic issue. If this lady allows herself to humiliate guests and laugh at them, she was allowed to do so by the hotel management. I will never forget this night in New York. I travel a lot and prefer staying in nice boutique hotels but I met such an arrogant attitude for the first time in my life. What was supposed to be a beautiful stay in a room for 600 dollars turned into an awful experience and humiliation that cost me 600 dollars. The hotel is totally overpriced and is not worth staying at because you can run into rude staff who are supported by the management. I am very sorry I didn't choose another hotel with a view in beautiful New York.

Bria and Brianna were AMAZING! they made everything very smooth (check in/check out and questions) and we felt at home in NY! The room and view was gorgeous. It’s small but honestly no complaints here I would’ve loved to stay longer. This is a perfect hotel for someone traveling solo or for couples. Definitely will continue to book here when traveling to NYC. 10/10 hospitality and vibes.

We recently stayed at Arlo Nomad, and I have to say this visit was extra special thanks to Brianna and Lily. They were incredibly hospitable, warm, and accommodating from the moment we arrived. A few years ago, we had stayed at Arlo in the SkyView room and absolutely loved it. This time, my wife happened to be back at Arlo for a work trip that also coincided with her birthday. Brianna went above and beyond to help us get the exact same SkyView room we stayed in years ago — such a thoughtful gesture that made the experience so meaningful and memorable for us. That small act of kindness made my wife’s day (and birthday!) so special, and it truly reminded us why we love Arlo. The hospitality and attention to detail here are unmatched. Thanks again to Brianna and Lily for making our stay so wonderful — we’ll definitely be coming back!

We stayed for 7 nights at Arlo Nomad. In terms of positive aspects, the hotel is well located when you are here to discover the city, and the rooftop view is quite impressive. Other than that, I would say that it is more a glorified youth hostel than what you expect to experience for the value. The service notably is mediocre. Our room windows had very visible hand marks when we checked in. A mysterious towel was hanging on the water sprinkler in case of fire. One day we left our towels on the floor to have them changed, to find the same towels hung and folded in the bathroom on the same evening. Lobby receptionists look overall very annoyed when you ask for any information. The roooftop staff is unexperienced, and you can wait a while to get your order taken. The way you are seated (even when you book) seems very random (especially when the other table are free and not with a reserved sign). So overall well located but service to improve !
