We contracted with Kathy Walker to do a furniture design plan and help with colors for an addition to our home. She came out, we paid her $200, the check was cashed the next day and we never received a plan. We contacted her several times and when she finally contacted us she told us that her assistant quit and she didn't know how to use the cad program for the furniture design! She then sent a text that she would have the plan ready in a few weeks. Several weeks later and nothing. We went to the store twice and the showroom was locked. Another time the young lady told us that she was on a cruise. Months went buy, calls were never returned. By this time, we went to a furniture store and they helped us with layout and colors. I went to the store to ask for a refund for the service that was never provided, still no owner. Her husband called to ask details and I explained our situation. We finally got a call from Kathy. She totally blew me off and said she owed me nothing. The $200 was for her to walk through the house. No furniture plan, no help picking paint colors (from a paint store by the way), no offer to help with anything! She practically mocked me for calling and laughed at the thought that she owed me anything. Thats how I was treated from Arkay Walker. Hard to believe that place can stay in business!
