- NNNicoleOct 4, 20253.0Overall, I had a good experience with Arch Vet and appreciate the thorough care they provided for my cat. However, I did run into some frustration regarding a prescription request that I hope can be improved in the future. During my cat’s recent and extensive work-up, I asked for a handwritten prescription for her hyperthyroid medication so that my insurance could cover it. I also requested a 3-month (100-tablet) supply, since she’s been stable on the same dose for several months and will need this medication long-term. The vet confirmed her dose would stay the same, but when I went to pick up the prescription a few days later, it was written for only 45 tablets. When I asked about this, I was told the vet wanted to “see how she does,” even though her recent labs showed normal thyroid levels. The tech mentioned there were refills, but that still means frequent refill trips, which I was hoping to avoid. After spending close to $3,000 on this visit, I was disappointed that such a simple and reasonable request couldn’t be accommodated or better communicated. I truly appreciate the care my cat received, but I hope Arch Vet can improve on communication and customer service moving forward.

- MWMichelle Remoreras WattsSep 11, 20255.0I've been sending my pets (total of five) to Archvet over the years -- originally their Santa Teresa location and now their Winchester location -- both locations are great. We've been to other veterinary practices over the years and this is the best for primary care in our experience. I had a few cats in particular that hated going to the vet and no other vets would be patient with them in the way Archvet has been and particularly Dr. Solomon. He has a way of calming them down... kind of like the "Cat Whisperer" Jackson Galaxy. Highly recommend!
