My dad scheduled an appointment for our bath because only the shower head was working. He scheduled it on a Sunday at 2pm and they're an hour late. He calls and there's a delay. No problem, he delays the appointment for Tuesday from 8am to 11am. Tuesday comes and 11 passes. He calls and they now say that it's from 8am to 8pm. So my dad ended up fixing it himself. It took six hours but he ended up saving some money in the long run. If you want a plumber that's on time, don't count on Apollo, or you'll have a very exhausted father.
Nate has an extensive grasp of how underground plumbing works. He is knowledgeable, meticulous, and professional. His piping is a work of art. He fixed a slab leak that another company completely miss diagnosed. Despite that the Leak Detector was off by 5' forcing Nate to cautiously explore under 2 extra rooms before he found the its source. (It was a tricky one due to questionable building practices.) Nate's expertise shone.
Not only did he fix it, he made our water connection better as well.
Nate and his sidekick, Dillon, were extremely helpful and especially courteous about my health issues while explaining in detail the what, why, and how of the problem completely to my plumbing novice husband, answering his every question.
I highly recommend him, the company who has the good sense to employ him, as well as the Apollo Home team. From our first conversation, to make an emergency appointment, to the person who caught my frantic after hours call who made sure the crew would bring a inside sheltering tent for our 8 am jackhammer date, to the young man who priced our job as fairly as he could, to my hero, Nate - all of them seem to make a habit of going above and beyond what one would expect in service. Apollo Home has a new lifelong customer!
I recently had Apollo come out to fix a leaking outdoor faucet, replace another outdoor faucet that wouldn’t shut off completely, and install an indoor shutoff valve to help prevent freezing during the winter. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding!
Johnathon, the plumber, was punctual, professional, and explained everything clearly before beginning the work. I really appreciated that he took the extra step to turn the water back on mid-job so we could use the shower — that kind of thoughtfulness goes a long way. His workmanship was excellent, and he left everything clean and tidy when he finished.
It’s clear he takes pride in doing the job right. I’d absolutely recommend Johnathon to anyone looking for quality, reliable plumbing service.
On October 3rd, 2025 Apollo dispatched technician Tyler Smart to my home (Middletown, 6th Ave) to unclog, two badly stopped up drains, I couldn't be happier with the service! This young mans professionalism in all aspects of the service is one of the best interactions that I've had with any contractors to date, if I could give him a 10 star review, he'd get it! He made sure to clean up behind the work and made sure to explain everything to the fullest and understands how to put the customer at ease. PS I also had another plumbing HVAC company out to my home thru my home warranty service earlier that morning in which they operated like it was a first grade experiment, no trouble shooting at all, no use of any tools whatsoever, flat out told me that I needed their most intrusive, expensive solution to the problem, money grabbing, costing me a whopping two thousand dollars out of pocket beyond my home warranty in which I have the top tier level, SMH! The best way to analyzing the problem is to compare it would be like saying, if your car is running hot, rather than just assuming that you need a hot water pump, start with replacing the thermostat, cost? 15 dollars. If you're looking for honesty and common sense, contact Apollo. Thanks again Tyler!
*Incorrect Card Charged Without Authorization & Thank You Bucks Not Honored*
I tried to resolve this billing issue the normal polite way, by placing a phone call to Apollo and asking to speak to billing/accounting. Apparently you cannot be transferred to that department, and your information is just taken down. I was told someone would call me back to resolve my issue within 24 hours. I am not going to hold anyone a 24 hours expectation, but that phone call was last Thursday 9/11, and it is now Friday 9/19. Clearly the billing issues which I will describe below have been disregarded entirely.
1. Upon completion of service 9/5/2025, I presented the credit card I wanted to pay with. The plumber who provided service told me he wasn't sure if the card went through because his tablet was having issues, and someone might call me from Apollo to collect payment. No issue there whatsoever, however that never happened. Several days later on 9/11/25, I see that a different card I have previously used has been charged for me invoice without my authorization, not the card I presented to the plumber. As I mentioned in the preface, i tried to handle this the 'right way' by placing a polite phone call to correct the billing. I simply wanted to switch payment to the card I tried to pay with at point of service, and not a card you may have on file that has now been charged without my authorization. That should not be too difficult.
There was another issue with 'Apollo Thank You Bucks' that same day service was provided, that I didn't feel the need to call and address on it's own. However if I already had to call to resolve the incorrect card being charged, it seemed worth bringing up. I will address that as item #2 below. To reiterate, as of this time on 9/19, no one has returned my call to address either issue I discussed on the phone on 9/11.
2. When I went to pay the plumber day of service 9/5, I told him I had received a $50 off 'Thank You Bucks' in the mail from Apollo toward my next service. Without even looking at the certificate I was holding, I was told "It has to be above a certain amount to use that" and "You would have had to give me that before I quoted how much the repair costs." If this is Apollo's policy that is fine, but there is no fine print outlining that on the 'Thank You Bucks' certificate. I have attached images so others can see what I am referring to. The only descriptions include "Fifty dollars off your next Apollo Service" with the caveat "Cannot be combined with other offers." To my knowledge I did not receive any 'offer', I just paid the price of the service provided. Again, this by itself was not much of an issue at the time. But if I have to go through all this hassle just to get Apollo to charge the correct card (as I was told they would call to do) it seems worth addressing. I would appreciate an explanation on why the 'Thank You Bucks' are not honored despite the reasons given to me not being printed on the certificate.
