  I’m not one for writing bad reviews, EVER. However, I just left and had the worst experience I’ve had going to the vet in my life. I will say I was running late because of work by less than 15 minutes to my appointment. I had called to see if they had an opening a little later or if I could still be squeezed in. I spoke with Vicki on the phone and she was extremely unpleasant. She said that the dr had moved onto his next appointment and wanted to leave after that. Their office hours say they’re open until 5:00pm, keep in mind. This call was a little after 3:30pm. I get there at about 3:43pm and I walk in and see Vicki right away. I was greeted with a smug look and her rolling her eyes. Off the bat already looked irritated that I showed up, even though she said on the phone it was still okay. She gets me checked in, and I tried to apologize for being late and thank them for their patience. She looks me up and down and says “Mhmm”, looking right back to her computer. I take a seat and then a younger girl appears and comes out to the desk where Vicki is at, and says, “That girl isn’t going to dare show up, right?” Vicki looks and her and then looks right at me, and she says to her, “You know she’s here right?” Just so extremely rude! The vet, I don’t really know if I fully trust what he said since everything was outdated. Luckily my cats not really sick. She just sounds like she’s been having issues with her breathing. To be on the safe side, I will be taking my cat to a different vet from now on, and will not be coming back. Worst $65 I’ve spent in my life.

  Great place to take your pets. Very gentle with with your fur babies. Highly recommend and the staff here is awesome too. They make you feel like family here.

  Very limited in their scope of practice. Very old school ~ I got a copy of my fur baby's medical notes that was handwritten so it's doubtful they have any up to date procedures or equipment. My pet needed teeth pulled and they said they didn't do that. They handed me pamphlets for dentists over two hours away. I went to another doctor about 10 minutes away who will do the surgery. Do not recommend unless it's something very basic.

  I’d give negative stars if I could. My dog was acting super out of character- lethargic, not eating, whining and super hot. Took her here and this so called “vet” if you can even call him that took her temp and it was 105. Said she was fine and sent her home and told me to give her aspirin with no recommended dosage. She passed away not even 12 hours later. I ended up taking her to THREE different hospitals that night and every single one told me this “vet” absolutely should not of let her leave and definitely shouldn’t of told me to give her a medication that dogs can’t even have. I will never return here, I will be telling everyone I know and I absolutely will be filing a complaint on this poor excuse of a doctor to the Florida board. Do NOT under any circumstances bring your animals here.

  We recently had to bring our cat to Animal Medical Clinic of North Port to see Dr. Stancil for an eye issue. We also take our dog for yearly check ups. Dr. Stancil is fantastic. He is calm, thorough and explains whatever is going on with our animals and our treatment options in a way that is easy to understand. We also appreciate how gentle he is with the animals and how informative he is when answering our questions. It's clear that he genuinely cares about the well-being of the animals. He doesn't try to sell you a bunch of stuff you don't want and can't afford. No nonsense here. Also, the ladies who help the vets and manage the front desk are awesome! Thank you all!
