I've been a loyal customer since my dog was a puppy and he's now nine yrs. old. The last few times I've come in my appointments run 15 or more minutes late then I sit another 10, 15 minutes in the waiting room. On 9/12/25, I had a 10 am appointment it was numerous staff at the front desk but I had to wait to check in. I was told it would be a few minutes however, 4 people came in after me and my pet and their dogs were weighed and taken in immediately. I hate to say it's my ethnicity but the staff at the front desk don't seem to treat me as courteous, and kind as they do others. I ended up leaving and I won't be back. I refuse to spend $350, $400 someplace where I'm not respected. My suggestion for the staff at the front desk is retraining because if you keep mistreating your customer base regardless of ethnicity they won't be back. I sure won't

I brought my dog in for his yearly vaccines and was told by Dr. Rose that he could not receive them without being muzzled. My dog was understandably uncomfortable with the muzzle, but he never showed signs of aggression or irritation during the visit. She refused to administer any vaccine without a muzzle on. She then recommended sedating him with 3 sedatives but when I asked if it was safe, I was told, “we don’t know how he will react.” She even offered to put him under full anesthesia just to administer vaccines.
I chose not to return after that experience and decided to switch vets. His new veterinarian was able to give all vaccines safely and easily, no sedation was needed, just a treat for distraction.
I would not recommend this clinic, particularly for owners of large breeds or pit bulls, as they seem to assume these dogs are aggressive without cause.

I’m usually not the one to give businesses a bad reputation. But, my family and I are in shock and devastated. We’ve had our cat Buddy for over 9 years. Buddy was pretty much a healthy cat and showed no signs of major illnesses.
When you take your furry loved ones who are also part of your family to the Vet you have no choice but to trust them. On 8/26/25, our cat was seen at this Orland Animal center for some skin irritation behind his ear and on his neck that we were concerned about. Our cat buddy was treated with antibiotics and a steroid injection with NO prior blood work done before they jabbed our buddy w/ the steroid injection. The Vet explained he needed the steroid injection to stop him from itching his skin. The Vet didn’t even take a minute to listen to his heart to hear if Buddy’s heart is beating normally? And they have no prior knowledge of any recent underlying conditions that Buddy may or may not have. We were very concerned about the steroid injection. I called and spoke to Dr. Lantow. He explained the steroid injection was safe and has no side effects. I asked Dr. Lantow if he took the time to listen to Buddy’s heart or did he even do blood work prior to the steroid shot and he said no. I needed to know from this doctor why would you inject my cat w/ a steroid shot without knowing his prior blood work or health history? Dr. Lantow insisted the steroid was safe.
Six days later our Buddy went into cardiac arrest and passed away at Mokena’s Animal Hospital. The vet found his lungs filled with fluid and he was having a hard time breathing. Then buddy’s heart was very weak. The Vet at Mokena’ Animal Hospital explained the Steroid shot may have triggered buddy’s heart condition. We are in shock that our cat buddy was just over a week ago was just a normal cat playing and walking around in our home and then died six days later?!? Later that evening I did plenty of research where I found other stories of cats who had suffered with heart conditions as a result of steroid injections according to their owners.
PLEASE BE AWARE!!
