Saved my baby's life! I took my calico kitty, Duchess, into the office Monday morning because I noticed fluid and swelling in her back end and belly area. Turns out she had a serious uterine infection and it needed to be removed quickly. I got her back yesterday after her surgery, also was given some pain meds and antibiotics to make sure the infection was really gone, I can't thank them enough for giving me more time with my baby than I would've had I waited any longer. I wish I could add photos of her but I can't find the button 😅

If you want to watch your beloved pets life end cruel and inhumane- Andes is the place to go! They will put you and your pet through hell while telling you they'll pull out of it and then they will kill it in the cruelest manner I've ever seen! My 19 year old cat Trouble had slowly stopped eating. He went from dry food, to canned food to mushy liquids to just liquids then nothing and hardly drinking. I made an appointment to have him put to sleep and in we went. They found a place in his mouth, did a couple of xrays and asked how long it had been since he'd eaten. I explained the changes in food and that he only had some liquid from canned salmon two nights before and only a few licks of it last night. They stated- the assistant very over enthusiastically (bothered me for some reason) that he'd start eating again right away as they'd given him pain medicine, antibiotics and steroids. You have to understand, at this point he's skin and bones and looked as bad as he felt. Cautiously hopeful and glad I didn't have to say goodbye to Trouble I took him home. He didn't eat, didn't want to eat nor drink. He looked horrible! His eyes were wide open and just weird! He didn't sleep, just sat in his carrier (safe place) and stared oddly. That crap finally wore off three days later. All the while I'm trying to feed him and give him water with a syringe to get him to eat. On Friday, my daughter told me I was prolonging his pain and the inevitable so I called Andes to make sure I was doing what I should be seeing how he still wasn't eating two days after initial visit and what i was able to get him to take in the syringe was only liquids. Receptionist: yes, yes! He has to have nourishment. Keep trying to feed him. Blah, blah, blah. Saturday he got up and got water on his own and ate a little of a Churu treat- very soft, moist treat squeezable cat treat- only a few bites. Nothing more. He resisted food at night and again Sunday morning so I decided I wasn't going to force him. He got up and got some water and ate a little-very little of another liquid like cat treat- only a little. He refused food and water the rest of the day and Sunday night wanted me near him. He wasn't going to pull out as they so over enthusiastically stated he would. Friday I made an appointment for a recheck Monday morning with Dr. Andes. Monday morning he looked strange when I got up. After laying beside his carrier till after 2am so he could hold my fingers with his paw he may have been surprised to wake and find me not there. I don't know. He went to the water bowl but wouldn't drink. I came back through the house and he wasn't in the living room. I found him in the bath tub- he used to drink water in the shower. I got him a bowl and filled it with fresh water and he drank quite a bit, then hid under yhe bed in the spare room. Time to go.*** I've had to have pets put to sleep before but this was the first time at Andes. At the other vet they would give them something to relax them and then something that stops their heart. It was very peaceful, no surprises. Not at Andes! They overdosed him with anesthesia! Dr Andes gave a nod, the assistant put her hands on Trouble's head and he pushed the meds. Trouble tried to jump, get up. She held him down. I tried to comfort him and they used misery to put him out of his misery! How cold and cruel can a vet be! I'd never seen the reactions Trouble had, or had anyone have to hold a pet down forcefully to due to the medication they used to end his life! Ill never go back again. It was hard enough watching my beloved cat whom id adopted 19 years ago this month keep deteriorating while they said he'll pull through but to have to witness the cruel way they ended his life was the worst! These people dont care about your pet or easing them from life to death. Their care about how much they can get from you money wise!

Clint Young is one of the best vets I've had the pleasure of taking any of my pets to. I recently took my mouse for a visit because he was very itchy, and Dr. Young was quite comapssionate although some people may have dismissed my pet as "just a mouse". He fixed my little guy right up, is knowledgeable about his job, and has a wonderful sense of humor to boot. Will definitely bring my pets to him in the future!

I was a client for 10 years. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. RUN AWAY!! Through out the years i had several admin issues. When taking multiple pets at once, the erong animal got the erong treatment, billing issues, any yime i boarded animals they came home wet, etc. Nothing to prevent me from switching. I justafe sure i documented every encounter. We had adopted a dog back in March, took him to get neutered and mentioned concerns about an ear issue. Said the ear was fine and went on. When his ear kept acting up we went a couple weeks later and they said it was fine again. A month later, we went to bosrd uom. I had booked the boarding a month before. 1) day of could not find where i had booked it until i had told them the day i called to book it. Then, they could not find his records and was going to give him all of his shots and make me pay for them. Even after i told him the day he was neutered. It wasn't until i told them i was cancelling my teip and taking my dog home they magically found his records in 10 minutes. All of this took like 4 hours so I eas extremely nehind schedule for my trip as is. When picking him ip, i asked for the invoice before paying. The booster shot i had requested to be given was not and flea treatment i hadnt asked for had been done. I had given him a flea treatment at home the week before. They told me they couldn't take the charge off and forced me to pay yhe $40 extra. At this point i asked for yhe records for both my animals and left. I then found out in fact, my dog had a bery bad ear infection that they had overlooked not once, but twice. The people here over the years have beame very rude and only cate about money. They only way things get done is if you threaten to take their money away. Avoid at all costs.

I don’t normally post bad reviews, ever. Here’s my experience Staff were wonderful and forthcoming about the whole procedure on my kitty, Claire. We adopted her from pet works and figured it’d be best to get her spayed. I dropped her off, received a phone call around 1230 saying she’d be ready around 4pm that day. I got there around 515. She was doing wonderful, walking, eating, etc. A little bit of time passes and I leave her be to get comfortable and become situated with her surroundings for the next few days. I come back about 35-40 minutes later and there is blood pooled everywhere in my bathroom. The incisions were not closed correctly nor was she given proper treatment. I can understand that, mistakes happen, but what got me is that they tried to hide the fact that she was bleeding with a puppy pad and towel in her carrier and had it folded several times in order to cover the already dried blood. I ended up taking her to Airport Emergency Vet to see what we could do. Her entire lower half of her body was swelled and covered in blood. The emergency vet gave her a belly bandage and medication to stop the bleeding, thankfully she’ll be okay. DO NOT GO HERE!!!
