  I called because my air conditioner quit working on Friday. Someone came out fairly quickly. He spent Friday and Saturday working and had installed a thermostat. It wasn’t connected to anything at this point. After doing that and who knows what else, he determined that I would need a new circuit board. He said he’d bring one on Sunday. Sunday rolls around and he calls and tells me that he can’t get the part and that his boss would call on Monday. Monday at 10:00, rolls around, no call. I called a different company who came out before 3:00. He found that the previous guy from American Services installed a 10 volt wire when it was supposed to be a 5 volt wire. The new repair guy said that doing that would short out fuses. New guy then started taking panels off the outside unit and found that a wire had been rubbing against metal and the protective coating was gone. Hence shorting out the system. He fixed the problem and I got a once again air conditioned house. Today is Monday and I’ve called the office and have spoken to the office manager about getting refunded for the unnecessary thermostat. I also want extra money for the estimate to repair the cut wire on the humidifier for the heater. She’s spoke to the owner and we came to an agreement on the refund. They wanted an opportunity to fix what had been done. A different technician came out and took the thermostat off the wall and handed me a check for the agreed upon amount. I raised the rating from 1 star to a 2 star rating because they were pretty quick to finish up and get the thermostat back.

  I've never seen them check any of the safety devices on the furnace. Last time they were here it was just a fuse that vibrated out. I kept telling him to turn the AC on but he screwed around showing some kid. Didn't clear the filters, said the condenser was dirty, but about 6 weeks before another person did the spring check up. How come he didn't clean it? He said the AC compressor was cycling on the internal overloads and was basically dead. That was in May, it's the end of August and it's still working just fine.. He wasn't smart enough to know that the condenser had a time delay before starting again. They wanted an OLD MAN to think it was going to die and for $3200 sell me a new condenser
