Our upstairs AC had gone out a month or so ago and the part neesed to fix it was backordered so we just dealt with it. Its August in Mississippi so its pretty warm. Well I had to leave for 2 weeks on the road setting my art up at a couple music festivals and when I got home the downstairs unit was not working. Now its getting rough. The thermostat was reading above 90 at times. The kids cant sleep and they're falling asleep at school, I let them stay home 1 day and we were almost ready to get a hotel. It was unbearably hot.
Finally we had some fellas come in from American Refrigeration Heating & Air CO, Inc they worked for 10 hrs and their were some "issues" but the diagnosis was one unit was dead and the other needed some TLC to get running, so another night without AC, we made due, but it wasn't fun. The next day the GM of the company (Mike) came in and worked all day until 1030PM then came back the next day and did the same until he got the upstairs running. Hallelujah!!!! *On a side note, my AC units were some kind of rare/old units that these guys had never seen..... a "Unicorn" if you will...perfect
Mike the GM with American Refrigeration out of Olive Branch, MS went beyond what a "Boss" should do. I thought it was going to cost $15-20k for a new unit but he wound up getting both units running like new. I appreciated his determination with fixing these things. He was adament he could fix them and he did! It was impressive to say the least. He understood our situation, recently retired from military, still trying to harness a new income change, kids laying on a couch sweating all night and now this. I dont know what other folks deal with when it comes to different issues like HVAC, or Contracting work but the actions of Mike made me happily surprised that their are still good folks out there that are willing to go above and beyond to help their fellow man. If you are ever in this area and need HVAC assistance, you know where ill send ya.

Top-notch company to work with from start to finish! Kristen in the office was able to secure a same-day appointment. General Manager Mike and another technician (can't recall his name) arrived as expected. The knowledge, expertise, and professionalism displayed by both were second to none. This testament comes from the position of me interacting with many HVAC companies and techs over 20 years in both commercial and residential capacities.
I have a high-end Carrier system that requires a specific level of knowledge and expertise. Mike went above and beyond to troubleshoot the root cause and quickly resolved the issue. I should have called American Refrigeration the first time instead of the company that did the installation.
American Refrigeration has earned the business of my HVAC needs for life! I'll let it know to all all my family and friends as well.
Easy to work with. Kristen in the office is quick to respond, Greg, the Technician came exactly as I had been told. Very thorough and did a great job. They also told me about their annual checkup service, which not only saves me money, but will keep me from getting distracted and forgetting to schedule service check ups.

When my father needed to replace his heating system, I called and received immediate help: a technician to diagnose the situation, a quote with 3 reasonable choices, and a phone call to help me understand the options and what was most appropriate for our situation. The technicians did the work as quickly as possible (in frigid temperatures). They were professional, courteous, and very kind to my father. I cannot say enough about the good customer service. Kristen answered the phone each time I called with a question and handled everything for us so graciously. I never felt pressured to purchase more than we needed. We are grateful and pleased to recommend American Refrigeration.
