The Medical Team at Elmwood needs to start over with management. They did have a recent change but it has been ineffective. Head Nurse Laureen Davis Is very arrogant and combative. Doesn’t follow protocol regarding medication distribution. She failed to contact the family regarding a necessary medication and so the patient was without medication for two weeks. Elmwood needs a different medical company. More efficient and empathetic towards the residents they are supposed to be caring for and not look at them as only a number. There is a lot more I can say but will leave it here. I did report this to top management more than once because the issues are constant! Very disappointed.!!!😢

As soon as we walked in the door for the first time, we knew we found the perfect new home for our parents. They felt it too. Our family feels blessed and comfortable everytime we depart from a visit knowing the staff at American House Elmwood, from the Management team, to the dining staff, housekeeping department and maintenance crew have everything under control. With the AHE team coupled with The Medical Team, the hands-on caregivers who handle the physical assistance and medical needs of the residents, we can once again sleep at night and occasionally leave town with peace of mind. The dedicated staff have become family to all of us and provide genuine love and care to our parents. Never did we think this would be possible. Thank you all so much for all that you do for them and for us.

The Medical Team staff are terrible. The wait times are regularly over 30min. They just made a huge mistake in changing staff and bringing back old staff who had multiple complaints. American House needs to part ways and find someone better soon!
The Medical Team is the WORST! You can find staff sitting on their phones or sleeping at all hours of the day! DONT put your loved one here. I’m partly speaking about the recent changes, BIG mistake! Chantel is rude! Positive change would be moving on in a different direction. American House needs to part ways with this company soon or lose business!

I had the pleasure of meeting with Sherry, the Assistant Director at American House Elmwood, when I was searching for a place for my mother-in-law.
She was very knowledgeable and pleasant, and always had time to answer my questions, no matter if I walked into the facility or called her on the phone.
I watched her interactions with the residents, and saw how caring she was to their needs. And I was comforted to know that she would do anything to make my mother-in-law‘s transition, smooth and stress-free.
Although my mother-in-law has not yet decided where she would like to reside, I know that the American House Elmwood is at the top of our list, and employees like Sherry are one of the reasons!
