This was beyond an infuriating experience without question. To give you an idea, let us start from the beginning. In May there was a rather large hailstorm in my area which left my siding looking shredded. I contacted Alpha Storm Solutions. I gotta tell you that their salesmen ship is top notch... I am talking used car salesmen, the ones that wear a fancy suit and talk like they know everything. After they had me sign a letter of intent, it went downhill very fast. I mean they had at least three homes I know of in my area and they had those done within 2 months.
In September they finally said that they were going to do the work on my house. The shingles I asked for were bought from my workplace and those take 3 weeks. So I don't know how it became 4 months. Then they were like yeah I forgot to have you sign something else. They then demanded all the money that the insurance company paid me without a good explanation. In my line of work, I know contractors and they get paid almost always after the job. So that confused me. I asked them to let me know well before they came to work on my house to let me know because I wanted to be there. They didn't and about three days before, they finally told me the people will be there for my roof.
Luckily, I was there. Let me tell you, it felt like a horror story. The people pulled into my driveway and into my grass without asking. Then they were not careful with anything that they were doing. At one point the air hoses were hanging over my power lines on their lunch. I asked the worker if they could be gentle and get the air hose off my power line. He looked up from his game or video, I don't know which and was like yeah we will do it and then went back on his phone. Meanwhile, my yard has been trashed, my bushes stomped on garbage everywhere.
Then the nicest people came a week later... Again no notice. Luckily I was home... I told them they could park in my driveway and him and his wife were the best people ever. That is until the end when they started working on the siding and I was like the wood grain doesn't match. No one had answers. The salesman was like I gotta check. Then it was no they couldn't get the correct siding and they weren't going to do the job. I hired someone else that day.
Then a few days later, it was yeah they can get it. I told them that I found it already in stock somewhere else and I already hired someone. A few days later they came to do the gutters and unfortunately I wasn't there but I saw the result. It was less than impressive. Let me put it this way, I am still finding pieces of gutter in my yard... At least with the insufferable roofers they cleaned up after themselves.
Finally we get to now, where I am about to pay them. I was confused on the billing and texted the salesman frustrated. The manager called and like a very bilegerant person he said no, we are correct and we need the money now. I work as a manager and I never treat people like that. A good manager would have said, what seems to be the issue? Can we make the time to go over the bill and I can remedy any concerns you may have.
Again, very disrespectful, unsolvable, overly exasperating and beyond infuriating experience. Not to mention on the bill they are charging me over $700 for my half of the shed and my insurance who is also paying for the hip and ridge is just over $500. I refuse to give bad reviews... Just look at my profile about 85 percent is good reviews. But, I cannot in good conscience ever recommend anyone to ever go through this experience. Hell, I will take my 4 hour oil change at Walmart where they dented my door over this situation. Their GM was at least trying to be understanding. I will even take any of the contractors over this experience. I mean I will even deal with the person who threatened me over a game over this. I will take the 100 times that my sandwich was made incorrectly at any fast food res. and even the one time we found a fried mouse in our food over this...
