What attracted me to them, as they are not the cheapest by far, was that my dog would get supervised play times with other dogs. They sent me photos of Max in outside play yard with other dogs. Some of the information prior to coming was left out, like I should potion out my food in baggies or get charged an extra 30/per. That surprised me on drop off, but the woman on duty said she wouldn't charge me because it was the first I heard of that. Over all I think they did a good job. Another client dropping off a dog said his dog always runs to get in. He likes being there. The next time I drop off my dog and if he is eager to go in, I will know they did an excellent job.

My Arwen had never been away from me, but while at the facility, they kept her busy snd happy. Arwen developed a UTI and they brought her to a vet and she was on antibiotics within hours. I was dealing with a medical issues, so while I was in turmoil around that, Alpha set my mind at ease with updates and photos of my dog. I will never be able to thank them enough for all they have done. DEFINITELY recommend to anyone who is even tentatively thinking of using them....

He came out, wagging his tail, but also loving on the staff and me. He always pulls in the direction of the lobby when dropping off, so you know, he loves the place. Bottom line, I came home to a happy, healthy and well loved dog. We will definitely be using Alpha a lot in the future

What vaccinations are required for training?
To keep our guests safe and healthy, we require all dogs to be up to date on their vaccinations for rabies, distemper combo, and Bordetella. The Canine Influenza vaccination is strongly recommended.
How do I book my training evaluation?
Call us at (540) 825-1247 to speak with one of our team members and get your training evaluation booked.
What happens during the training evaluation?
You’ll meet one-on-one with a member of our professional training team to discuss your goals, challenges, and experiences. We’ll explain our processes, tell you about our programs and facility, and help determine the best training approach for your situation. This meeting is also the first step in developing your pet’s customized training program.
What can you teach my dog?
Our trainers specialize in helping your dog become the best family member possible. We do this by training the most important obedience cues, such as sit, stay, come when called, and leave it, among others. We also work on leash skills, social skills, and home manners.
Can you work on a specific goal with my dog?
We’ve worked with dogs of all breeds, ages, and challenges, so we may be able to help with a particular challenge. When you come in for your free training evaluation, we’ll discuss how we can help.
What will my dog learn at Alpha Pet Resort?
Our training team specializes in turning your family pet into the best member of the household they can be. Obedience training, home manners, social skills, and behavior modification are part of any of our training programs. We’re happy to work on other or more specific goals you may have, which we can discuss further with you during your training evaluation.
How many days of Stay & Train should I book?
Stay & Train and Play & Train are most beneficial when your dog is able to attend for multiple consecutive days. For this reason, we offer 5-, 10-, and 15-day packages, but you can add or subtract any number of days you like. Ultimately, the more time your pup has with our trainers, the better the results.
Is my dog too old to benefit from training?
No! The “can’t teach an old dog” concept is a myth. Dogs of any age can pick up new skills with the right combination of patience and consistency. While it’s much easier to establish skills and habits in puppies, dogs of any age are capable of being trained.
