Breach of Privacy & Appalling Customer Service
I am absolutely disgusted by the experience my wife and I had at this location. While my wife was in the dressing room trying on clothes and not fully dressed, I personally witnessed a store representative peeking around the corner into the fitting room area. I saw the reflection in the glass and immediately realized what had happened. This is a blatant violation of privacy and completely unacceptable from any retail employee.
We had actually visited this Alo store twice in the same day. On the first visit, my wife purchased a gray set. On the second, she purchased a burgundy set. During checkout on the second visit, I respectfully brought up the incident directly to the representative involved. Rather than offering any form of apology, acknowledgment, or even a professional explanation, the employee instead became defensive, claimed “we have cameras,” and then shockingly called me “the creep.”
As a paying customer who had just spent $350 on two small clothing sets, I find this behavior appalling. To have an employee not only invade my wife’s privacy but then attempt to shift blame back on me with an insult shows a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic human decency.
This was not only a disturbing invasion of privacy, but also one of the most disrespectful customer service interactions I have ever experienced. No one should have to endure this type of treatment when shopping, especially at a brand that claims to value its customers.
I strongly urge Alo corporate to investigate this incident, take immediate corrective action, and ensure that staff are properly trained to respect customer privacy. If this is the type of conduct Alo allows from its employees, it raises serious questions about the company’s integrity and cultue.
