So I remember when Alo was this cool brand with cool clothing that fit awesome and made you look and feel great. Now it’s moved on to a brand where mostly everything is cropped or super cropped, more like a Forever 21 juniors athleisure store. No one offers to help you or even bothers asking if you’re finding what you need. Super snobby vibe in there, and I’ve been wearing Alo a long time. I won’t be back, it’s not worth the time.

Me and my family were shopping here and about to pay for over $400 worth of clothes (which isn’t that hard at Alo) when the help rudely told my 1 year old daughter to stop playing with the rocks in the store. She was neatly arranging them on the planter and out of everyone’s way, not disturbing anyone. Clearly she doesn’t live in the suburbs or isn’t used to being around kids or families because she was so rude and went out of her way to approach us instead of doing something productive on the job. If you’re going to work in Oak Brook, at least be friendly to families considering it’s the suburbs and there are families with kids everywhere. If you want to avoid kids, go work in the city. She was so rude we just left without buying anything.

The Oak Brook store was a miserable experience. They were less than helpful - pointed to where items were instead of politely telling me or showing me. I had an online order that they couldn’t find because, “you must have placed it for a different store.” Fast forward 5 minutes to them looking and finding it with no apology for being so obnoxious. The vibes were off in that store. I will not be back. I can order online if I choose to.

First and last experience here at this store, if you’re African American forget it, they will be all over you, second they don’t want to give you a cloth bag even if you offer to pay for it, I was told I needed to spend $75 more to receive a cloth bag. I couldn’t get my welcome gift. The associate with the bright blonde hair was dismissive. Yeah back to LULU I go!
