My girlfriend and I came to this store to buy a candle. As soon as the cashier scanned it, she said that the price was six times higher than what was shown on the label. She called the manager and refused to sell it at the listed price. After reading the reviews, I’m not surprised at all.

Went into Alo Newbury St right before closing, grabbed what I needed in under 5 minutes. At checkout, the cashier Sophia literally laughed in my face instead of doing her job. Rude, unprofessional, and absolutely unacceptable. If Alo wants to call itself luxury, staff like Sophia should not be representing the brand.

I came in looking for running shorts and saw one I liked, I wanted to try them on but it wasn’t my size and asked the sale associate Sophia at the fitting room who was very dismissive and not helpful at all. I don’t like how inattentive and not useful she was. She didn’t even bother to look, nor recommend another short. She told me “we don’t have any.The energy through me completely off where I didn’t even want to shop anymore. I would rather shop at chestnut hill Alo. As I was heading out, a male associate who was super super helpful check in with me to see if I needed anything, and I told him I was looking for a specific shorts - he went above and beyond to help me. He offered to check through the go back pile, and check other stores for my size. I wish I asked his name because he was super super helpful and very kind. If it wasn’t for him, I would never return to this location. Honestly I would only go to Alo for him. My experience here was terrible and he made me feel better.

Needed a new pair of workout pants so I stopped in on a slow day to try out a pair. Not a single staff member greeted me or offered me help, overall had a very holier-than-thou attitude. While I was searching for the fitting rooms, one staff member managed to notice, but yelled across the store at me that they were around the corner. Overall experience was very demeaning, which is sad considering when I browsed at the Seaport location, the sales staff were very friendly.
