  They treat you like you can't afford anything in the store because of your skin tone ..watch you like you a criminal ...security guard was really rude like how can you not go out the door you came from ...why there even a security guard in a clothing place anyway?? If your scare of Detroit folks why move your store down there ....??? I won't be back there

  The clothes are a little pricey and the store can be quite busy and crowded tbh but I had a really great experience with the staff. There was a young woman named Emily who helped me and she was super nice and friendly, she gave me good and honest advice about what to get. Truly over and beyond service and I’m happy with my purchase.

  I had an unfortunate experience at the ALO store in Detroit. When my sister and I walked in, there were no other customers only employees trying on clothes. None of them greeted us. The lack of acknowledgment made us feel unwelcome. One associate, a woman with brownish-reddish wavy hair, was standing closest to us. She still didn’t greet us and instead began folding clothes directly behind us. I said “hello” to her, and she replied “hi.” I told her that no one in the store had greeted us and that we didn’t feel welcome. I also mentioned that even when she came over to fold clothes, she hadn’t spoken. She explained that she was focused on recovery after a rush of customers. I responded that sales associates should be able to multitask and greet guests while working. She apologized, but the explanation didn’t feel sincere or appropriate given the circumstances. Overall, it was a terrible experience. ALO should ensure that its staff are kind, friendly, and welcoming to all customers especially when the store is empty. I won’t be returning unless I have the opportunity to speak with someone in leadership.

  Great store with friendly and efficient workers. Highly recommend seeing Sydney at this location. Very professional and gave her honest opinion for what I wanted to purchase. Made the experience that much better.
