I recently stayed two nights at Hotel Aiden in the heart of Chinatown, near Dodger Stadium. The location is convenient, and they offer underground parking at a decent rate, but unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. The problems started as soon as we parked — the elevators were out of service, and we were parked two floors below the lobby. I had to carry my 50-pound luggage up two flights of stairs, and after checking in, we were assigned to the third floor, meaning three more flights of stairs. I had just undergone minor surgery earlier that morning, so this was extremely difficult. I feel the hotel should clearly notify guests ahead of time when something as essential as elevators isn’t working, especially for anyone with mobility issues. Despite this, they were still charging full price. The next day, while my wife went to the store, housekeeping entered the room unexpectedly. I was in the bathroom at the time, and we made eye contact — it was an embarrassing and uncomfortable situation. I immediately reported it to the front desk, but later found the housekeeper waiting outside my room asking what the problem was, which made things even more awkward. It seemed like there was a language barrier, and the situation was not handled professionally. To make matters worse, the second night was extremely noisy. Loud music and cars from the street made it feel like we were next to a racetrack — our windows were literally vibrating. When I called the front desk, they said there was nothing they could do since the noise came from outside. On a positive note, the hotel does offer free breakfast and has a small coffee shop where guests can grab complimentary drinks, which was nice. But overall, the negatives far outweighed the positives. In summary: the hotel should clearly inform guests about the elevator outage, improve communication and staff training, and consider some form of compensation for the inconvenience. Until these issues are resolved, I wouldn’t recommend staying here — especially if you have luggage, mobility concerns, or just want a quiet night’s rest.

Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist eher unterer Durchschnitt. In Europa wäre es absolut nicht gegangen. Für LA wie gesagt unterer Durchschnitt. Fahrstuhl war kaputt, Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig. Zimmer selbst prinzipiell Sauber und OK

Staff are useless, room smells like damp wet old socks, probably due to an unclean air conditioner , toilet blocked, elevator didn’t work, I’ve waited over a month to get my damages hold refunded after several attempts to contact them. I could go on with many more issues.

Not sure how long the construction will be going on…but I arrived at almost 2am on the 29th/30th of Sept and desperately needed sleep. At 5:30am someone working on a roof next door to the hotel began using a heavy duty staple gun? and worked on the roof for HOURS. I took a video. This was diabolical and incredibly frustrating. If I wasn’t so exhausted already I may have asked for a different room on the other side of the building. I apologize to the front desk worker (who wasn’t the one who checked me in) for feeling my angry wrath for being booked a room next to construction. I paid $120 for no sleep and had to check out around 830am to catch a train. Disappointed. The room was nice otherwise. 15 min walk to the train station. I only had a backpack so I didn’t mind using the stairs…the elevator is out of service, FYI.
