They will try and pay you scrap price for all the metal brought in. Its worth the drive to go to oneals where they help you unload and are way more friendly! Adkins will never get my business again. I drive the extra distance to avoid them!

Don't really recommend them for any auto parts. Hard to work with them on getting compatible parts. Hard to get them to text back on parts. Don't have used car batteries for sale. Better off going to other places for car parts. They just don't want to work with ya very well. Aluminum cans is about all their good for.

So I went into the scrap yard today, I had a bunch of aluminum and some sheet metal and steel, I ran the sheet metal and steel off went to the aluminum side and started weighing the aluminum, the kid there was not very knowledgeable as to what was aluminum extrusion or sheet and breakage, I explained to him that if there was anything considered breakage that I would take it back, clean it and bring it back, Jay came out and sorted the aluminum and left, the kid continue to where the aluminum, and everything went on the scale. I left the yard, and was checking my receipt later on and realize that they gave me 31 lb of breakage aluminum. I called the guy and told him of the issue and he told me I could come get my aluminum and never come back. I've been going there for over 25 years. Incompetent, ungrateful, and just plain rude to long time customer. WOW I will let the yard I start going to that they have Jay@Adkins Recycling to thank! 😉

How does a recycling junk yard turn away a truck load of metal. Business must be good. What a joke, bad business practice.
