  Lock change: because the trash pandas were getting too comfortable. Listen, I don’t know how or why, but I started waking up to my front door being slightly open every morning. Not wide open. Just enough to feel like a ghost, a burglar, or a very polite trash panda was letting themselves in for a late-night snack. Naturally, I did what any reasonable adult would do: ignored it for a week and hoped it would stop. It did not. So I called Action Lock and said, “Hi, I think I’m being haunted by a trash panda with opposable thumbs and locksmith skills.” He didn’t hang up. That’s how you know you’ve got a pro. He came over, changed the locks, upgraded the hardware, and even checked to make sure nothing else was loose or weird (besides me). Since then? No open doors. No weird vibes. And the trash pandas have gone back to bullying my garbage cans instead of my entryway. I would absolutely call again. Hopefully not because the trash pandas unionize and learn how to use a drill.

  These guys used to be 5 stars. I used them for many years for both house and key\car locks! Recently I called in the winter 2024-2025 when my car key broke off in the car lock, on one of our below zero days. Action Lock wasn’t sure (?) if they could make a “chip key”, so I called another lock smith who came out to my house and simply made a new chip key… no problem, no hesitation, no doubts. I called Action Lock and Key a second time, now In the summer, to get the old original broken key removed from the car door and they informed me they would only work on the lock, and I would have to find someone else to remove the lock from the car door, for them, AND I would have to then reinstall the door lock in the car door. The Bottom line, for me is, NO HELP from Action Lock and Key, in TWO separate phone calls, months apart. I am disappointed.
