  Customers be warn! I hired Accu-Coat to encapsulate my crawlspace (they also sealed the vents). At the time, I asked if a dehumidifier was needed and they told me no. Fast-forward a couple years and I have black mold throughout my crawlspace. I proceeded to have four separate crawl-space companies come out to look at the issue. Every single one told me that a sealed crawlspace (i.e., no ventilation) requires a dehumidifier or mold will definitely grow sooner or later. Furthermore, even building codes require a sealed crawlspace to have a dehumidifier or an alternative drying system. I reached out to Accu-Coat and they claimed that the cause was that there was some water intrusion, which they also deny any accountability for despite them selling the encapsulation in the first place as a fix for the water intrusion. However, the bigger issue was the mold growth which was nowhere near the water intrusion. Furthermore, all four crawl space companies, told me the same thing specifically regarding my Accu-Coat encapsulation installation - mold grew because sealing a crawlspace will result in high humidity levels if the air is not conditioned (i.e., dehumidifier) and that it was not caused by the water intrusion. Accu-Coat is denying all accountability and claims that all four of the other crawlspace companies are wrong. However, even a simple google search will back up that a sealed, unvented crawlspace requires a dehumidifier. I have spent $1500 to get the mold killed. Even worse, my family including young children have been living in a house with black mold growing beneath them on the subfloors. Please do not let them seal your crawlspace! They do not install dehumidifiers which will result in mold if they seal all ventilation like they did mine. At the very least, get a second opinion from another crawlspace company! I don’t want anyone else to have to go through what they have made my family go through.

  I highly recommend Accu-Coat West Jefferson for spray foam insulation as they provided a very competitive price and were willing to work with me on schedule and scope. Mike Draper and Chad Sheets were my installers and couldn't be happier with them. They started early as I was told they would and didn't waste any time prepping the site by putting up plastic sheeting while their machine is heating the components. After they were done they did a great job cleaning up taking all the plastic with them like they weren't ever there. Only evidence that they were there is a generously/evenly coated surface of spray foam. Thanks again.

  Logan, Eddie and Romario were VERY professional !!! I’m am very happy with the work they did! Looks great and couldn’t be happier!! Left job site in excellent condition! Couldn’t ask for a better bunch of men! I WILL DEFINETLY use Accu-Coat again if I need anymore spray foam done!! Thanks men for the GREAT job!!!!!
