  I usually have a great time here and make purchases but micheal clark (first time meeting him) gave me the worst experience yet, i came to the counter and greeted myself to him because i was looking to buy today, he ignores me then proceeds to greet the people behind me so i walk to check out some stuff, i just waited for him to finish then when that time came he walked away from me, waited a bit, then when i finally thought he acknowledged me he stated "No i was talking to my customer" i literally buy stuff from specifically this location when im in the area, never had a bad experience until i met him he acted as if he had a status/image to carry, the rest of the employees are fantastic but he not so much.

  I have made two different trips to purchase advertised sale goods. Both time the store did not know what I was talking about. I showed them the ad and one time they begrudgingly honored it. Today I went and again they did not know what I was talking about. When they finally figured it out they did not have the product in stock. I have a two strike rule so I am totally done with them.

  Truthfully this is about their policy/customer service. However, I bought a Glock 48 online for pickup at Knightdale. Im told to have my license, matching CCW etc. Which i have and bring. I get there and the guy behind the counter was awesome and very helpful. However Academy has a policy apparently that the BILLING ADDRESS OF THE CARD USED must match the CCW&DL. This is stated NOWHERE when ordering OR in the pick up instructions. Thus i can't pick up the gun i paid for and drove 2 hours to pick up. And on top of that, they take 7 BUISNESS DAYS TO CANC FIREARM ORDERS. I always thought Academy was a decent place but this is just a prime example of bureaucratic hell. DO NOT SHOP HERE.
