    Go see Jon in the hunting department! He is a retired police officer of 30 years, and loaded my cart as if I was his own daughter. Thank you Sir, not only for your service to the community, but your care and concern for my specific situation and needs. You helped me in every direction and I feel confident that you would do the same for anyone else. I can not thank you enough!!!. It was very pleasant meeting you, and speaking with you again on a second visit in which you even remembered me with the countless people you must encounter on a daily basis. Thank you again, Sir.

    I went to the Pasadena Academy store and experienced blatant racism and discrimination. I showed an employee a picture of the exact rifle I wanted only because it comes in multiple calibers and I wanted to be sure I purchased the correct one. Instead of helping me, he flagged me for a month. That action now prevents not only me but also my husband (same address) from purchasing any firearm, ruining our family trip in the process. When I returned and spoke with the store manager, Brandy, she gave me a completely pointless excuse for refusing to sell me the firearm. It felt like nothing more than another attempt to cover up how unfairly I was treated. I’ve purchased firearms at other Academy locations without any problem. In fact, employees at other stores admitted to me that they regularly hear customer complaints about the Pasadena location’s mistreatment. If Academy allows this kind of discriminatory behavior to continue, you aren’t just losing one customer you’re losing many. I will never spend another dollar here and will be sharing my experience on Google, Yelp, Facebook, and with my entire network. Customers deserve respect, not humiliation and discrimination.

    I went for a new rod and reel combination and the guy in the fishing section did a good job because when my wife went and picked up the real I had ordered online they gave her a real with no handle and she bought it home and I was like how am I supposed to reel in the fish.. lol So I called them and they told me just come back up there and swap it out well they didn't have one already set up and the girl that customer service was really not very helpful at all but I went back to the fishing section with the rod and reel that we had gotten and the kid back there found the same reel in the package unpackaged it and swapped out the reels on my ride and I walked out the store so overall it was pretty good experience.
