  DO NOT OPEN ACADEMY CREDIT CARD POWERED BY COMMENITY BANK I opened this card. We are new homeowners and we don't live in our current address. Therefore, we incurred late fees and interests on this new card that they wouldn't waive. I ended up paying the fees to close my account because they're a horrible credit card company. Never informed me I'd have another late fee coming after closing my account, they slapped on another late fee + interest after I paid my full statement balance to close and by the time I checked my mail I incurred $93 more in late fees + interest AFTER MY ACCOUNT WAS CLOSED. In total I was charged near $200 in late fees + interest for opening this credit card. Do Not open credit card with Academy by Comenity Bank. The worst company ever. I literally cried for paying $200 in fees for not doing anything but opening this card that I regretted.

  I’m writing to share my experience at this store. The cashier was very friendly, but unfortunately, the manager, Heather, wasn’t. She made me feel embarrassed by insinuating I put a clearance sticker on a shirt, which was clearly glued to it. I was shocked and felt like I had to explain myself. I bought more items than I had originally intended, and I’m a loyal customer who always shop here for my family. It’s disappointing that Heather didn’t handle the situation professionally and didn’t honor the price on the tag. I have a feeling that if my skin color was the same as hers, she would have handled it differently. Prayers for Heather so she can be a better manager some day .😊
