    Excellent experience in the gun section; a young man named Devon helped me check out a few firearms. It was refreshing to see someone polite and happy to be selling guns. He was very personable and knew quite a lot about guns. Keep up the good work, young man. The world is your oyster with that attitude.

    So I purchased a firearm recently from this academy a few things went wrong but it was just technical problems with a computer system. But the managers Dennis and Frankie provided some of the absolute best costumer service i have ever had from a big company store they both called me and reached out when they said they would and for that reason academy will always have my business

    I still remember the day, 8 yearsago, when James — the manager — falsely accused me of stealing. He demanded that I empty my pockets, and when I asked for his name to file a formal complaint, he refused to give it. The experience was so distressing that it took me years before I could even walk into an Academy store again. That incident left a lasting impact on me. I would like to know if the Manager James is still employed with Any Academia store or corporate office?

    I understand customer service isn’t what it used to be, however I haven’t given up- We just needed to exchange a pair of pants (we bought the wrong color). Normally there is a person at the front to see that we are bringing in a bag (don’t want to have anyone we think we stole something) but there was not, so we looked over to Rhonda who is the only one at the register, she didn’t see us at first which is okay, then when some time passes she looks over and says- “you’ll have to get in the line”. My husband holds up the bag and tries to explain, she calls the next customer, then she looks over and reaches for the bag- then asked loudly is he has a receipt, he then tries to explain again and she looks away and starts with another customer. We go get the pants, she charges us for them then we have to explain that we are trying to exchange, and she then says oh I forgot….if she would have just started with a nice greeting- instead it was get in line and went down hill from there. :(
