- CCClayton Clark6 days ago3.0I was looking for new hiking boots at the Academy, and the choice was decent. I wandered around the department for a long time, but none of the staff offered to help. I had to find my own size and try it on myself. In the end, I found something that fit. The staff were polite at the checkout, but their help would have been welcome in the hall.
- SWShon watson6 days ago4.0This store was absolutely awesome! I can’t say enough good things about this particular Sports Academy in Denton, TX. My husband and I were looking for cherry wood to smoke some meat for the Fourth of July and asked a young lady if they had any left. She kindly went to check in the back, and while we found some on our own, she and her manager later came to find us to share details about pricing and sizes. I was so impressed by their kindness and customer service! This happened on Saturday, July 28, 2025, in the evening — I wish I’d caught their names to thank them personally. The store looked great, everyone was friendly from the moment we walked in, and everything was so well organized (even the shoe section — we ended up buying two pairs!). Thank you for the great attitude, helpfulness, and positive energy. I love coming here and will definitely be back!

- MTmarbella tranSep 29, 20255.0Best manager in the world, my daughter had a very difficult day with her car broken in, they stayed with her until she calmed down. The manager went out of his way to get her iPad back and even filed the report and handed surveillance video to police. The manager later contacted my daughter to make sure she was doing okay and confirmed the report they helped file. This was a very unfortunate event, but the manager went above and beyond.
