- JHJason Hare5 days ago1.0Been waiting a week for a background check to return. They told me it would be 20 minutes and then a week later it's well it could be up to 30 days. Wanted me to know that was the state not academy but here's the thing. If the background check through the NCIS doesn't immediately return a do not sell they can transfer the firearm after 3 days and they are refusing. Ergo it is academy not the state so they are lying. Be it ignorance or laziness I have no idea. 44 years old and not a solitary violent offense on my record and no court issues pending. Absolute nothing but feet dragging. If you're looking for a firearm you're better off going somewhere else and I mean anywhere else. They may be fine most of the time but this is 5% of the time do you want to risk it on your time and dollar.
