  We hadn’t visited an Academy Sports in years, but based on my recent experience, that was a mistake. This sporting goods store exceeded my expectations! It had an excellent selection of products and provided exceptional customer service. I’ll definitely make this our go-to spot for all things sporting goods!

  Academy is criminally underrated. They were very friendly and helpful, and the store's extremely generous return policy is a huge selling point for me!

  This past Saturday I went to academy sports to get my son some cleats, I only saw 2 pair to choose from, and so I asked the associate that working in the cleat section if there was any more to choose from. And her response rudely was "if you wanted cleats, you should of came back in July"! I just looked at her and left the store. If people do not want to work or help customers, why do you have a customer service job? I will not be returning to this madison location. The associate had long hair with glasses, appeared to be in 50s or 60s. I just feel it was a better way to say that. She don’t know what I had going on in July, and honestly it’s September, and boys grow fast, so how would she know if I came in July or not?
