  This location is AMAZING! Highly recommend it. It is clean and organized!! I accidentally did the wrong location for a pickup order and ended having to drive 40 minutes to this location and I was not disappointed. They definitely have twice as much inventory and offered different items than the Juban location.

  I went into Academy in Hammond,LA in search of some women's (lace-up) steel toed work boots. I figured it's Academy right 🤷‍♀️; they'll have a large assortment of brand name choices. NOPE. Only two choices of actual steel toe re-inforced work boots for women. Neither of which I found suitable. The only pair I found that were half acceptable did not have my size. They had multiple styles and brands for men; but not women. Over the years, I have bought many shoes from Academy. I have watched the department slowly decline in what they have to offer for women. I use to coukd depend on Academy to meet my footwear needs. Not so any more 😔.
