  Unfortunately academy to me is starting to flame out a little bit, The crisis and never been great The customer service has definitely gone way down compared to what they used to be. Maybe it's a new generation taking over and they just weren't raised correctly.

  HUGE THANK YOU to Jonathan at this location! He went above and beyond in an emergency situation! My family traveled from Huntsville, AL for the USA SOFTBALL tryouts at ULM, only to realize that our daughter forgot to pack her white softball pants! I went straight over to Academy and noticed that they weren’t opening up until 9, it was 8 am when I pulled up. Luckily Jonathan happened to be in the parking lot, so I let him know what was going on. He let me order the pants online and fulfilled the order prior to the store opening, just so that I could make it back to my daughter in time! That’s amazing customer service right there! We went back after tryouts and Amiyah thanked him personally for what he did. We can always count on Academy Sports to have exactly what we need, but most importantly, the amazing staff that is always willing to help at any location!
