  Store interior is a little dated, but the selection is good. Staff feel a little sparse, but the stock tends to be full. Ammo selection is pretty decent and prices are competitive with other local stores.

  Good selection but misleading discount deals, not so friendly cashier working 10/11/25 about 6pm. I went to get shoes because of the email for 30% off clothes and shoes. But of course, there was a catch. I don't normally go to Academy. And tonight, I was reminded of the reason why.

  Went to purchase items and found it online cheaper on their site. Took the items to check out and they would not honor the price. We order on line standing there and we had to wait 40 minutes after handing them the items before the in-store shopper processed the order sitting at their counter for us to pick up. Sorry that is ridiculous customer service in my eyes.

  Academy’s employees consistently go above and beyond in their customer service skills! I came in looking for a pair of boots and they were quick to assist me, help me find the right pair to meet my budget, and ring me up with a smile. Thank you, Academy of Spartanburg!☺️
