I usually have a great experience at Academy stores. Recently I had to deal with Dorothy, she is a manager at the Jeff City location. Dorothy is a very nasty individual. I will not be back. If she treats customers like this, how does she treat others? Upper management needs to do something with her. As a business owner myself, I would not keep a person like her, especially in a customer service role.

I attempted to purchase an item online and it said the store was out of stock in that particular item. When I went into the store, not only did they have the item in stock but they had several of the items in stock. I bought the item and they refused to honor the online price. I then spoke to a manager who said if I returned the product I just bought and ordered it online they could have it ready for me in 15 minutes. I went back into the store, attempted to return the item and buy the new one but was met with poor customer service as she refused to help me figure out why the app was saying the wrong dates. In the end I had to pay full price for an item that I could have got for a significantly reduced rate. I will not be going back to the store because of this.

It's alright. My brother works there. Doesn't really have many options for materials of shorts for men. And the croc jibbitz selection wasn't my taste. Oh and a screaming kid in there as well. And the parents doing nothing to stop it. Not only that. Multiple. And they were loudly talking as well. But I did end up buying a jibbitz set, and a pair of Adidas. So those were upsides to this experience
