  I visited Academy Sporting Goods tonight to look at items in the gun department. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. When I approached the counter, the associate on duty was scrolling through his phone and never acknowledged my presence. My husband and I stood there for quite some time—even having a conversation in front of the counter—yet he never looked up. This lack of attentiveness is concerning, especially in a department where customer service and safety should be a priority. Clear policies should be in place to ensure that personal cell phone use is not permitted on the sales floor. As a result of this experience, I took my business elsewhere and made a purchase of about $350 at another store. On a positive note, the gentleman in the fishing section was very kind, courteous, and helpful, which I greatly appreciated.

  I would like to thank Aubrianna for an awesome experience! First off she was super friendly and made sure that I found everything that I needed and if I was looking for something that I couldn’t find which I replied with “I did find everything and nope I wasn't looking for anything else.” She treated me like a friend instead of just another customer which rates highly in my book. She was knowledgeable about the fishing gear I was buying and we made small chit chat while she was ringing everything up! She made it a very pleasant shopping experience! Thank you once again Aubrianna for an incredible experience!! You are second to none ma’am!!!

  I will never shop at this store again… I submitted an online order and paid in full thru the app but when I came to pick up the merchandise I was given a hard time because I didn’t have the card with me… it’s 2025 everybody shops online and normally you just come pick up your order. This was such a hassle and honestly I’ve never had this issue anywhere else. Academy you just lost a customer. Bass pro shops for the win!

  First, I like the selection here the store is really nice and upkeep and the prices are fine. The customer service was just plain awful today. Probably 15 different employees were around me, and that one offered to assist. I was in men's shoes and they were four guys standing there talking and not one offered any assistance. I went to check out. There were two guys at the door maybe Security neither one of them acknowledge me or thank me for my purchase.. this poor service is what I would expect at Dick's Sporting Goods not from Academy. I hope my next visit is better than this
