  I decided to go into the store to pick up a folding camping table instead of ordering online. I looked by the folding tables and the camping supplies and it was nowhere to be found. No employees were around so I went all the way to the front of the store and asked an employee who was talking to a cashier to help. He tried to convince me it was another table, but finally I got him to look it up in his system. 5 in stock. He said it's not by the folding table? I said no. He got on the walkie talkie for a couple of minutes and finally he and the other person agreed it should be in the camping area, and I should find it there. He then made his way back to the front to continue his conversation. After 20 more minutes of searching and seeing the fully strapped security guard walk around the store 3 times, yet no employees, I decided to give up hope and leave.

  Employees at these location are rude unlike other Academy locations that I have visited.

  Went to Academy Sports & Outdoors today and carried a heavy wagon by myself while employees just stood around talking. No one offered to help. When I tried to use the 20% online discount, they said I’d have to do pickup but it could take days—even though I had the item in hand. I would’ve understood an hour wait, but they made every excuse not to help. Terrible customer service.

  I bought ammo that was on sale. It was a Remington ammo of FMJ 115grain buckets. When i checked on the item. I paid higher. Went back to the store only to be ralking with an apathetic manager that just said “can’t” and they have a policy that the customer should be informed. BTW I was not told. I bought the 115 grain JHP by mistake. On the shelf they are disarranged. And they all look the same. On the receipt it does not even tell uou what kind of bullet you bought. On the website it does not state as well. Other stores give a one time exception for “final”sale items. On this case nope. I was looked at like a fool without even the manager giving a slight apology of some sort. Like he was disturbed on watching on his phone or whatever. Anyhow i will be taking my business elsewhere as they do not value their customers. I got a discount for an item but. I am done with Academy.
