I went in for a cracked ferrule with a 10mm tip to be repaired . I asked for a buffalo tip and was told they were out of stock. “No big deal, just replace what’s on the cue”. The following day it was ready. Pretty quick work! As he was grabbing the cue he said good news I found a buffalo ferrule. At first I was like, Yay! But then he handed it to me and I was shocked. They cut my cue back to fit the ferrule on. they cut my cue back like 2 inches!! This was a custom billiard cue with a one inch taper. They replaced the ferrule with a 13 mm pool ferrule which is much longer. I was told that the cue would be the same because it’s still same length. So 10mm and 13mm shoot the same, news to me. The cue shoots like a broom stick now, it has literally no taper at all. Who cuts a custom cue without asking the customer first? Seriously people, who does this? It was just a ferrule….
