Not sure which Review page I should put this on. We needed immediate service on our garage door (sensor issue). Company I used to use no longer services garage doors. So I took a chance, based on everyone's reviews, thanks! And oh my gosh, A+ Garage Door is truly the very best. VERY prompt, EXCELLENT customer service (I can't say enough about the terrific promptness and customer service from start to finish), both on the phone (gals on the phone are perfect customer service, they're hired!) and in person (Kyle, thanks so much for your expertise, and kindness). We just don't see this level of service anymore. But this company truly delivers! Yay! And everyone wants a Kyle in their lives. (This is the service call Kyle did Saturday morning 10/18/2025 @ John West's home in Murray. Thank you!) We will for sure recommend you guys to everyone! A plus installers came at the scheduled time on Wednesday, just like they said. The install went flawlessly. I love the new door. They also installed a LiftMaster belt drive garage door opener. It’s a higher end model that comes with a security camera built in to the unit. You download the MyQ app on your phone. There you can open and close the garage door and also see a live video. There was a little misunderstanding about whether you had to subscribe to a service - the camera records video, but if you want to save the video, you have to subscribe to the MyQ service. The app is free, but if you want to keep the videos, you’ll need a subscription. MyQ has many other systems to monitor your home. It’s really a complete service. I don’t feel the need to subscribe now, but it’s good to know that if I want to install security cams and such, the service will be there. I own a Tesla Y and MyQ has a subscription service that will allow you to connect your Tesla to your garage door opener. I’m old school and will just use the fob that comes with the opener. Or I can just use the app as well. Lots of choices.
Back to A plus. So there was a miscommunication about the seal on the bottom of the door. The floor of my garage is not flat, so the 2 inch seal that comes standard didn’t cut it. I can still see daylight peek through the bottom of the door. The door was supposed to come with a 6 inch seal, but that piece of information got lost when ordering the door. So I called A-plus back and they were able to make it right the next day, which made me very happy. Thanks to Christian and his partner (Sorry, forgetting his name). The 6 inch seal fits the bill perfectly. No daylight comes through, but most importantly, the seal will keep the winter cold from coming into the garage! That was the point. But they made it right fast, so I’m a happy customer. They gave me some good discounts to help me decide to go with them when I had them come out for a quote.
I recommend A-plus if you’re needing to replace your old garage door. My last door was bought in 1990, and the garage door door opener was the original Genie that came with the house back in 1978. It was a noisy screw-drive and the hinges on the door was falling apart, so it was time for a new door and opener. The door and the garage door opener is whisper quiet. I love it! One other nice feature I came upon was when I enter the garage from inside the house, there is a motion sensor that will activate the LED light on the unit. I like that feature.
I would say to the sales team that they should do a better job of explaining the camera feature as far as subscription services go with MyQ. And then to make sure the order is correct the first time so I wouldn’t have had to make the call for them to come back. Not a big deal, but sweating the details gets my attention. Good job A-plus! A high-five to Nick and his partner (I’m sorry, I’m forgetting his name) for a great install too!
Paul was prompt, professional, and a really nice guy. He presented our options without trying to up sale me, explaining every option clearly.

The garage spring broke. They were able to come out the next morning to get it replaced. The repair guy (Kyle) was very helpful and explaining everything. Overall was a very friendly, expedited, and good experience. Would highly recommend. Including a picture of the new spring.
Was really pleased with A+ garage. I just wanted a "tune-up" before winter since it had been several years. Adam was terrific. He lubricated all the springs and rollers and fixed one track that was rubbing against the house. Very reasonably priced and I have peace of mind for the next couple of years. Highly recommend for proactive care.
