  I am really disappointed with my delivery from A K this year. A few years ago I ordered 2 yards of top soil and 2 of compost to fill some garden beds, and it was perfect. No trash like you get in cheap bags of dirt from the store, and not horribly rocky or muddy. This year I called to make the same order and fill some new garden beds. The woman over the phone told me I should get their "garden mix" instead - sure! Sounds perfect. I was envisioning, ya know, garden soil, but it seems like a super low quality version of the compost I got in years past. Tons or rocks, sticks, and pieces of trash I had to pluck out while filling my beds. I added a bag of perlite into the top layers of each bed, like I had before, to keep the soil a bit more breathable for the roots of my plants. Every time I water my plants it becomes a muddy, caked up mess; my seedlings have barely grown - I'm sure their roots are basically being squeezed by how thick and heavy the dirt gets with every watering. Plus, I have a ton of weird random weed growth this time. I am horribly disappointed with my delivery this year. If I get more beds in the future, I'll be sure to get it from somewhere else, since their quality went way down! Edit for the response you gave me: I never said you were "pulling a fast one" on me. I don't know where you get your compost/soil - maybe you switched distributors, how am I to know? I simply said it was lower quality than last time. No need to be catty. I didn't call. A review is to let others know of my experience, not just the company. I didn't want to just get some money back and call it a day. Thanks for being snippy though, really shows your true colors!
