11/11/2025 at 6:37am, I pulled into the 7 Brew and got in the outside lane because I drive a truck and needed the room to swing around. This was my first time at this location. I notice pretty quick that the outside lane is moving a lot slower than the inside lane but due to the way the lanes are made, there is no room to get out of line and leave until you are closer to the check out window. There was a young man working the lane closest to the building and a young lady working the outside lane. Long story short, I did not pull out of 7Brew until 6:58am. 21 minutes for a small candy cane mocha and a medium sugar cookie blondie. Not crazy, but also not what 7Brew is known for...For the long story part, I have no idea why our lane was so slow moving through, but there was a car behind me that gave up after 10 minutes and when we could move up, she got around and out of line. She stopped right beside my truck, rolled her window down, and hollered at the young man working the other lane. The man in a truck behind me did the same. There was a car three vehicles ahead of me that looked like they ordered 4 drinks, so maybe that was the hold up? When the young lady finally came to my window to take my order, she did not greet me. She just asked what I wanted and when I was telling her, she said "woah, hold up "Bubbas," I have to enter each flavor separately." So I gave her a second, and proceeded with my other order. I paid and she walked away. Now, I don't enjoy small talk that early in the morning, so I did not mind her getting straight to business, but it was sort of defeating considering I had been patiently waiting for 18 minutes at that point and she couldn't even offer an apology.
Only offering two stars because my drinks were great, but that was it.

The iced caramel macchiato is too good! Great customer service!! I didn’t catch either of the girls names but the one that took our order was so nice and patient (was our first time here) and the girl that was reading orders back was so nice telling us about her favorite drinks and what others get. New to the Smyrna area and we finally found our favorite coffee spot!!! Literally just left the drive thru lane typing this review.

This was terrible, honestly. I understand they are new and figuring things out, but this was awful. They've been open awhile now, I waited to try it for the first time. It was a really bad experience before I even got my coffee.
1. They chose kind of a busy intersection to begin with, which created more traffic.
2. It's drive thru only, yet there are no menus in line (there is one at the window where you pick up your coffee...after you've paid and ordered so that makes no sense). They have signs with QR codes to get the menu. In a sunny day, trying to see to zoom in your camera to get to the QR code then click the website was annoying. In addition, the signs for the QR code are pretty small, and then there is a GIANT sign with a GIANT QR code with a mess of wording around it (this is while moving your car forward through a curve in a busy line). You put your camera on that and click that link, and it's actually sending you a text message to opt-in for a rewards program and not the menu. All of this is solvable by a simple menu board at the beginning. QR code can be for additional/seasonal items. Dutch Bros, Scooters, Starbucks, literally everyone else does this.
3. The menu. You click the link and it opens a website and the first thing is a pop-up about cookies. No, I don't want cookies tracking my web activity I'm just trying to order a coffee. You can't reject cookies, you have to then make another click to edit preferences. All this while in a busy line mind you and having to move your car up. Then you get to the menu and it does not have prices or sizes. If you're going to force us to use the QR code, put all the relevant info on the site.
4. Visually the place is chaotic. In addition to various QR code signs (beware, if you click the wrong one it's not the menu), they have hand written messages painted all over the glass in various colors. Some of it are menu items, some seasonal items, some are just random welcoming messages. It's impossible to read while you're trying to fumble with the QR codes and inch up in traffic.
5. Some of the staff lack customer service skills. Instead of normal welcoming messages or comments, you get "the Gen-Z stare" where they don't reply to you, don't use their words, they just look down at the tablet clicking away to try and figure things out, then walk away to find someone to help them. You're left there just wondering what's happening. The tablets were giving them trouble, which is fine, it's a new place, new system, figuring things out. But communicate, don't just stare at the tablet with no words then walk away.
6. When paying, immediately defaulting to a tip. I did more work trying to get the menu on the QR code than anyone taking my order. What is the tip for? Most of the employees stand around chatting. At Dutch Bros they are excellent customer service and speak to you.
7. Now finally, the "coffee." I put it in quotes because I could taste that there was barely any coffee in it, it was weak and poor quality coffee. It was mostly milk and syrup to mask the lack of coffee. This is my problem with a lot of modern coffee shops like Starbucks. The coffee is terrible, but they sugar it up like it's a milkshake.
Terrible, won't go back. I don't get the hype from people who were excited about this place.

I’m so excited that 7Brew finally has a location in Smyrna! The staff was incredibly friendly and energetic. They genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs. They were fast and attentive, and even took the time to ask about our flavor preferences to suggest drinks we might like. The drinks they recommended were absolutely delicious spot-on choices! The manager personally introduced himself and thanked us for coming, which was a really nice touch. I can’t wait to return and try more. Highly recommend this location!

A fun experience getting a drink. I love to do a dealer's choice and have the employee pick a drink for me. Wasnt disappointed by the drink Blake recommended. Don't listen to all the bad reviews because they have been my barista Starbucks down the street. Starbucks and 7 brew are not the same experience. Starbucks you sit down and can study or work you can't at 7 brew it is a drive thur. And keep in mind some of the employees seem like they are not wanting to serve you but they could be taking a test while sitting outside, the test they must pass to keep their position. The operation is completely different from other coffee shops. But a good different because of the fun experience. Go for yourself and make you own judgement. Coffee is a good smooth taste not acidic.
