  We recently had the pleasure of working with David Gem at 13 Gables Inc. to build our family's forever home, and we couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, David exceeded our expectations in every way. One of the standout moments was when David personally ensured that our custom kitchen was built exactly to our specifications, with additional features that fit my husband's and my personal style. For instance, he recommended a cabinet mixer lift for my husband, who likes baking, and he ensured all the cabinets and countertops were high enough for our family. My husband is 6ft 2in, and conventional cabinets are always too short. We wanted a larger window in our kitchen that was outside the specifications in the architectural plans. David, without question, worked with the cabinet and window vendor to make this happen for us. We now have a beautiful large window overlooking our backyard. We had a very specific vision, and David went above and beyond to source the perfect materials and even made several adjustments on-site to ensure it was just right. This attention to detail truly made our kitchen the heart of our home. Another example of David’s dedication was when we faced an unexpected delay with one of the windows. David kept us informed every step of the way and worked tirelessly to find alternative solutions, ensuring that our project stayed on track without compromising on quality or the beauty of our home. David even took the time to personally visit suppliers to expedite the process, which was incredibly reassuring. David also demonstrated incredible attention to detail. He noticed a minor flaw in the flooring that we hadn't seen and took the initiative to have it corrected immediately, ensuring that every aspect of our home was perfect. He also made recommendations for add-ons based on function and was quick to tell us of items that were not necessary so that we could save money. This level of care and commitment is rare and truly appreciated. Throughout the entire process, David was always available to answer our questions and address any concerns we had. David’s professionalism, expertise, and genuine care for our satisfaction made the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. We especially appreciated the regular updates and the way he made us feel involved in every decision, no matter how small. One of the most memorable moments was when David surprised us with the beautiful custom molding of the two-story windows and matching mantel on our fireplace in our great room, knowing that would be where we spent most of our time as a family. This thoughtful gesture added a personal touch to our home that we will cherish forever. When we finally moved in, the joy on our children's faces as they explored their new rooms was priceless. Our youngest had so much space to crawl around, and our eldest was thrilled with the spacious backyard, where she could just run around and play. My husband and I were equally delighted with the cozy, sunlit breakfast nook, where we now enjoy our morning coffee together. Words cannot fully express our gratitude for David's dedication and hard work. He didn't just build a house; he created a home filled with love, warmth, and countless memories to come. The care and attention to detail that he put into every aspect of our home have made it a place where we feel truly happy and at peace. We are beyond thrilled with our new home and highly recommend David to anyone looking for a second-generation custom-builder who truly cares about their clients and delivers exceptional results.   Recently finished a house build with David Gemme of 13Gables Inc. Couldn't be happier with the experience. David handled everything from beginning to end. As general contractor, David/13Gables uses and oversees top notch sub-contractors. Any issues that came up, David handled it with professionalism. He answered all our questions (there were many) and educated us along the way about the process. He always steered us in the right direction and guided us with his knowledge. David showed himself to be not only a great general contractor, but a Class Act. David, 13Gables and all the subs were an absolute pleasure to work with -- HIGHLY recommend. In fact, we are so happy with the house we have already contracted with David/13Gables for the next project !
