- MAMichael Alexander1 day ago1.0Warning: Do not rent a car from SIXT. SIXT is notorious for scamming their customers. Here is how the SIXT scam works. First they rent your car which likely has some pre-existing scratches. Like a responsible customer you take pictures of the pre-existing damage. You return the car in the exact same condition as when you rented it. A month later SIXT sends you an email falsely claiming you caused the damage. You provide the pictures of the pre-existing damage, they refuse to dismiss their claim. You refuse to pay because you read all over the internet that SIXT is a scam company trying to extort their customers with concocted vehicle damages. So they sell your “debt” to a collections company and they file a negative debt report with the three major credit bureaus. A few months later you attempt to get a loan and realize that your A+ credit is now a B- at best. You have worked your whole life for A+ credit, and now one sleazy unethical company named SIXT has wrecked it. SIXT is a scam. In 2025 SIXT settled a class action lawsuit for $11 million for this scam. Stay far far away from SIXT rental car agency.
- NSNoman Salem4 days ago1.0They are very bad and have no commitment. I've dealt with them more than once, and I don't recommend dealing with them. You waste time and don't get what was agreed upon. I recommend conducting a comprehensive review of your current operational systems and employee management practices. It would also be beneficial to implement employee assessments to ensure performance standards are being met. In addition, I strongly suggest arranging an inspection visit to your Chicago Airport branch to personally observe the interactions between staff and their supervisor.
- SBSandeep Banga5 days ago1.0Don't ever take a car from sixt. I am not a type of person to leave negative feedback for any one but unnecessary the charged me. It was a cheap deal but they give me insurance for 873$ which was more than the rental cost and i cleared all my dues while leaving the car and they charged me with the tolls which i already had paid at illinois tolls app and there service charges are 3 times the cost of tolls. After a month they send me the invoice and deducted the amount from my credit card besides of sending them the mail with proof that i had paid everything already. It was my last time with sixt and will never recommend any one in our group.
- RMRichard MarshallNov 5, 20251.0BE WARNED....DO NOT USE THIS RENTAL COMPANY. This isn't the same Sixt company you are accustomed to. I rented a Volvo V60 Cross Country. I was charged $52.04 for fuel when I returned the car with a full tank. I was charged a late fee; although my contract stated return by 0830hrs and I returned the vehicle on or about 0600hrs. I should have known something was up when the front desk person kept trying to get me to buy additional insurance, when I already had insurance. Also, when you go to pick up your rental, it is very difficult trying to navigate where to go once leaving the front desk. Chicago Sixt isn't the place to rent a vehicle. I use an on board car camera and took pictures of the car. I will be deleting my account.

Had a whole reservation with a master credit card and was told by customer service multiple times before I got there that my credit card is legit which the accept all credit cards anyway just to get to the location to be told they don't accept my kind of master credit card I ask the guy why is that I spoke with customer multiple times and they told me for sure I was fine that the profile guy gone say you didn't speak with me umm duh y'all don't even have a straight threw number to speak with you about questions and concerns with a reservation at so tea I was left stranded with no transportation while I was there visiting. Call customer service back just to be told they for sure accept all master credit card and they very sorry about the way the rep treated me smh that's all you can come up with after you directly telling me without telling me that this guy profile me shameful world we living in
