    Aptive pest control is a complete fraud! They send inexperienced young men to do the work, one did not wear shoe covers and left my floor filthy and dirty. Same kid sold me the membership upgrade for the same lousy service! I still have a roach problem and rodents in my attic! Not sure what they spray but it’s not any better than my Home Depot “raid” spray for roaches! I called to cancel and the customer service dept is out of the country and can’t really help much with their limited English. They told me I would be charged $199 to cancel an agreement I had no idea I had! Beware and do not select this Aptive service, it’s just a fraudulent scam to get your money!

    DO NOT USE!!!!! If you need to cancel your service they will put you on hold inevitably and it is impossible to speak to someone. Took me 3 hours plus to cancel. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

    Better off using a different company. Absolutely do your homework before signing a contract with aptive. Been using aptive for 6 or so months. At first they were able to get rid of the ants in our house and i could smell the chemicals that they were spraying. Not anymore. This last time they sprayed i got on the ground and tried to smell any sign of chemical and nothing. I think they are spraying water. The first time they came out i hardly saw any granules in the yard. Next time i asked them to put out a lot of granules. He put out a little more but not much. I ask every time for them to treat the yard well with granules and they just spot treat where they see activity. They do not treat the whole yard. Also, my first treatment was on the 7th of the month but they will delay when they treat. Next treatment will be middle of month then end of month. By the time they reach their seasonal cutoff i will have been shorted a month of treatment. I dont really think it will matter though the way they are treating. I can buy poison and treat myself for less than what they are charging me. In my opinion they are not holding up their part of the contract. I unfortunately cant recommend them. (Follow up edit). So i called aptive and talked to a supervisor with aptive and explained the situation to her. Every time i tried to speak she would cut me off and talk over me. I unfortunately finally had to raise my voice with her just so i could tell her to allow me to speak without interruption. I asked her if she understood this and she would not respond that she understood that she should not interrupt. I had to ask repeatedly perhaps 7 or 8 times before she finally said she understood. Horrible customer service from a supervisor. I was finally able to explain my concerns completely and i requested that aptive terminate the contract because i believe they are in breach of contract. She refused to do so stating that there is no way to get rid of the ants in my yard and the contract states as such. I explained that i could smell no chemical smell from the poisons they were spraying and she told me that they use an odorless chemical. This is absolute nonsense. I told her they were only spot treating the yard for ants and she confirmed that that is all that they do. They do not treat the entire yard. This will only move the ants to another part of your yard. It will not push them away from your property. I would never recommend aptive to anyone and i will certainly never use them again. They have lost a customer and i hope others will use this review to consider whether or not they want to enter into a contract with aptive that they WILL NOT cancel even if they are not doing they job they claim they will do when you sign up with a contract.

    The customer service representative that answered my phone call was very professional but could not resolve my issue. Aptive team was very unprofessional and provided me with very poor service and accordingly I requested to stop the service. Aptive team did not care about my concern and only cared about one outstanding bill. I paid that bill although I have not receive any service at that time. Now Aptive is repeating the same thing and posting another bill without any service received. It’s a vicious cycle Aptive keeps scheduling service visits although I called them many times advising them not to send any technician to my house but they keep posting invoices on my acount for about ~$49 without any service provided and keep asking me to pay to clear my balance. Unbelievable business.

    Check their reviews on YELP. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! They do not have any type of a guarantee other than they’ll come out between monthly visits if you call to schedule. If your problem never improves- too bad. You’re kicked into the contract and have to pay the $199 to cancel. They don’t come out for about 4 months during the colder months but you still have to pay your monthly payment. After 5 months of service and never seeing an improvement, as well as all sorts of service issues, I had to cut my losses and pay the $199 cancelation fee which is how this place makes money. They tell you if you aren’t seeing an improvement or the service was not completed to my satisfaction, to contact them and they’ll come back and retreat. I got this service because they said they could treat my entire yard- I never used them in my house, although I could have. I FINALLY found out they will only spread granules around a 15-20’ circumference of the house and then they spray the rest. And when I say spray- I mean they practically jog through the yard spraying. I had to have them come back every time and finally was so frustrated that i worked with the regional manager that came out herself. I told her two weeks later and no improvement. She said the treatment can take up to 3-4 weeks to work. Well, I had the treatments for 5 months and there was ZERO improvement even in the area up against the house (rock landscaping had a lot of beetles/bugs that NEVER went away). The drivers are only allotted 30 pounds of granules a week so they use as little as possible so they have enough to finish the week. I told the manager I don’t think i should have to pay the cancellation fee because there was never any improvement and they have that documented every month. There’s no way out of your contract unless you pay the $199.
