I was at the store around 10:00am on October 21st, 2025, wanting to inquire the deal of two pairs of glasses for 99CAD. The staff who interacted with me, likely a young person in their 20s, short curly black hair, wearing glasses, was fairly dismissive with me and unhelpful at all.
I mentioned the 99 dollar deal and showed them my glasses prescriptions. And then they just told me that because I have a very high prescription so it won't work with the deal, saying that because the thinning fees won't be included. I replied saying that I am ok without thinning. They showed me the very dense lens I would get without thinning, but didn’t offer any other advice at all or help me look at other options at all.
I then asked if I can get my glasses tightened because it's been feeling kind of lose lately. They took a look at my frame and then said that normal glasses that fit the person's face shouldn't "look like this" and that seems like my glasses are this way because "your face is a lot bigger than the glasses".
I interact with the person very politely the whole time, but I don't understand what I did to deserve any of this. As a person with severe body dysmorphia, I don't appreciate this at all. I had a very bad emotional meltdown after leaving the store

I had my eye exam and glasses made here — both this time and the previous time. The first pair didn’t work out at first either, but they remade the lenses and everything was great.
This time, I had the same problem — I couldn’t see clearly through the new glasses. Everyone assumed the prescription was wrong, but after they retested my vision, it turned out to be correct. Unfortunately, they couldn’t identify what was wrong with the lenses and just issued a refund.
While I appreciate that they returned the money, I ended up losing almost a month and had to make several visits, only to start all over again elsewhere.
Most of the staff were very kind and attentive — they always took the time to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied with the service. However, one of the staff members, who seemed to be a supervisor, had a very direct way of speaking that felt detached and dismissive, which made the experience more frustrating than it needed to be.

Had a great experience here—been back a few times and the service is always top-notch. Sofi and Alice were super helpful and patient, taking the time to answer all our questions thoroughly. Really happy with the consultation and overall service. Definitely my go-to spot whenever I need something reliable!

Although I am terables with people's names, I did have a really good customer serviceladybhelp me with not only finding out what coverage I had, but helped me pick out two pairs of glasses, and added all the bells and whistles as well. Thank you Specsavers for being the place that I needed because i wouldn't have gotten the deal I got and then some
